And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

When we first came up with the idea for this shirt, a few people mentioned that they didn’t like the idea of the Armed Forces being portrayed as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. The Four Horsemen, they argued are bringers of death and destruction – a force to not only be respected, but to be gravely feared. So, we reflected on this and came to the following conclusion:

This is exactly what we want our enemies to see.

We want those who would attack us and take us as an enemy to know that we will unleash a hell upon them they could not have imagined: bombs raining from the sky with precision guidance, gunships targeting them as they try to run and hide, and ultimately steely-eyed troops hunting them down in their homes, caves, barracks, or on any battlefield in any terrain until they are wiped from the face of this earth. We want them to understand in no uncertain terms that to attack America or our allies means that the scariest parts of the Bible will come true for them.

The front of the shirt features the Four Horsemen representing the five services.

Conquest sits atop a Pegasus and represents the Air Force.

War wields the sword of the United States Marine Corps and represents those proud warriors.

Famine’s Scales of Judgment are made from an anchor with “N” on one side and “CG” on the other representing the Navy and the Coast Guard.

Finally, Death sits upon his pale horse waiting for finish the work of his brothers in arms. Atop his head sits the World War I helmet of the Doughboy.

On the back sits the crown of conquest with a spire for each of the five services. Under it sits the quote, “And hell followed with me.”
