Thiago Alves Araujo (born October 3, 1983) is a Brazilian professional mixed martial arts fighter. Alves started training in Muay Thai when he was 15 and mixed martial arts at 17. He is also a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

We host Fight Nights at our house for just about every pay-per-view airing, and I never got into any of the fights until I watched Thiago fighting... I can't get enough of him now, and I comb the internet trying to find more info of him. He may have lost to GSP, but he didn't go down fast or without a fight. He was hard to keep down, so I give it to the boy for holding his own. He's awesome in the octagon.

He may have lost this title shot but next time hes going to take it and hold it for a LONG time. Hes the best fighter in his weight class

I love it, and love watching the PITBULL doing his thing. I'm a huge fan and can't wait until he has a crack at the tittle.THIS GUY IS AWESOME, the next big thing in UFC.
